The summer of 2014 was a summer of transition. I went back home for July 4th and while I was there really felt like God was calling me back to Texas. And lo and behold when I fired my computer up when I got back home there was an email waiting for me from Oceaneering asking me if I was still interested in working in Austin.

While this became one the major focus of the summer for us we still had a lot of fun doing all sorts of stuff.

We watched some world cup matches at a soccer bar. Which was totally crazy and fun!

We also went to your first ever EDM concert/festival, Mad Decent Block Party, which you really enjoyed even if I was kind of a buzz kill.

We also got a chance to go to the Dolphins training camp which was right next to Mako!

When it became clear I was going to work for Oceaneering they offered to send me to the Microchip conference in Arizona. I got to stay in a really awesome hotel but I really missed you. We spent that week getting used to video chatting so that we could learn the basics of how to deal with a long distance relationship.

That was also the time period that we found one of our favorite songs!
